Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE and new look

Introduced more than two years ago, the Apple Watch watch is expected to see big changes in both appearance and functionality.

According to Mark Gurman of the Bloomberg news agency, the new watch model of the Apple Watch will become a fully independent device due to LTE connectivity. For current models of this watch (Series 1 and Series 2), many iPhone functions require connection to the iPhone.

Introducing LTE will allow you to use your watch without having to have your iPhone with you. To download music directly from Apple Music, use navigation and maps. Such a device can be a lot more attractive than the current models of Apple watches, so it can have a positive impact on sales results.

LTE modems for the new Apple Watch model will be delivered by Intel, who undoubtedly benefited from the war between Apple and Qualcomm. Intel is also, next to Qualcomm, the modem provider for iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. It is also possible that this manufacturer will be responsible for providing modems for new models of these devices.

According to Gurman, Apple is already talking with mobile operators in the United States and Europe about introducing a new model of Apple Watch that communicates with LTE. Interestingly, Apple originally planned to launch the LTE model last year, but gave up on battery problems.

John Gruber, the blogger for Daring Fireball, commented on the new look of the device. But it is not known exactly what he meant. Certainly, adding a LTE module, perhaps a special SIM card tray and a larger capacity battery, can affect the form of the device itself.
