FIA fails to block account claiming ‘Khadim Hussain Rizvi is Imam Mehdi’

ISLAMABAD: In a strange and bizarre move, a Twitter account formed in 2015 with the name ‘Musalman’ is continuously uploading status stating “Khadim Hussain Rizvi is Imam Mehdi” and he would announce it within 40 days.
However, neither the Tehreek-e-Labbaik YaRasool Allah rally leaders and protestors have given a response nor Twitter is responding or taking action against this account on the request of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
In his response, an FIA’s cybercrime official stated: “Till date, no complaint of ‘Musalman Rizwi’ account has been received. However, the high-ups on their own have started monitoring this account and had written to Twitter management to block this on an immediate basis.”
But, he added, they did not respond.
Many Twitter users have also lodged complaints.
Sangeen Alizadah tweeted: “@reportpemra @betterpakistan Due to non-availability of official PTA account you are being informed that this account is being operated by a non-Muslim to spread anarchy and violence in Pakistan. [Please] take immediate action.”

Another user Fawad Jamali tweeted: “This is the sheer evidence of a blatant act of blasphemy as per Pakistan’s blasphemy laws. @betterpakistan your action is required against this wannabe Imam Mehdi.”

It is pertinent to mention here that ‘@betterpakistan’ is the verified account of Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal.
The account in question has only 11 followers and had made 40 tweets. With almost all the tweets being blasphemous, the authorities are now worrying how to block this account being run by unidentified people.
Throughout history, various individuals have claimed to be the Imam Mahdi. These have included Muhammad Jaunpuri, founder of the Mahdavia sect; the Báb (Siyyid Ali Muhammad), founder of Bábism; Muhammad Ahmad, who established the Mahdist state in Sudan in the late 19th century, Riaz Ahmed Gohar Shahi; and Mirza Ghulam Ahmad [Qadiani], founder of the Ahmadiyya sect.
In the Islamist belief, the Mahdi is an eschatological redeemer of Islam who will appear and will rule for five, seven, nine, or nineteen years (according to differing interpretations) before the Day of Judgement, and will rid the world of evil.
