Soon Xbox One will support external hard drives

One of the biggest complaints gamers to play next-generation consoles - Microsoft Xbox One and Sony PlayStation 4 - is the lack of support for external hard drives. While both companies have promised to add such a possibility, still nobody did. Fortunately, according to the software developer, Xbox One will support external hard drives in the near future.

Photo confirming it appeared today on Reddit. In the photo is visible screen Xbox, which allows users to see which programs are already installed and how much storage space is left on their Xbox. Xbox users typically have a little less on the One 500 GB of free storage space (with the Xbox One comes the hard disk of 500 GB), but the image on the screen says that freely 585.9GB, is only 29.4 percent of disk space and the external drive is ready.

As you can see, software developers have connected an external hard drive (presumably 500 GB) to the Xbox One. It is unclear whether this is a special hard dick for Xbox on the One, or an external hard drive from Seagate or Western Digital.

Advanced gaming consoles can store not so much content on the internal drives. Users who play a lot and acquire additional content often requires more than 500 GB of disk space.

It is unclear when Microsoft plans to formally enable external hard drives on Xbox One, but developers say "soon." According to GottaBeMobile, wait for this opportunity to Xbox users will have about a month, now being tested in new equipment Preview Program Xbox One. However, since the update, which includes support for external storage does not go, you can be sure that the new feature will not be included in the May update Xbox One.
