Editorial Guidelines & Standards

YoPakistan exists to provide Pakistani youth with accurate, practical, and first-hand information. Here is how we create, verify, and maintain our guides.

1. First-Hand Experience Principle (E-E-A-T)

We do not publish theoretical summaries or AI-synthesized generic overviews. Every published article on YoPakistan must be written or reviewed by a contributor who has directly undertaken the experience:

  • Scholarship guides: Written by students who successfully applied, secured the award, and navigated the visa cycle (e.g. Fulbright, Erasmus Mundus, DAAD, Chevening).
  • Remote work & freelancing: Written by active practitioners billing overseas clients in USD/EUR, with verified profiles and payout histories.
  • Financial & banking: Grounded in actual transaction slips, fee schedules, and verified State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulatory circulars.
  • Competitive exams: Penned by qualifiers or high-scoring candidates with deep structural knowledge of FPSC/PPSC examiner expectations.

2. Regulatory & Fact-Checking Process

Pakistan's banking, taxation, and immigration rules change frequently. Before publishing any guide concerning money, taxes, or visas, we verify against authoritative primary sources:

Banking & Inward Remittances

Verified against State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Foreign Exchange Manual circulars and Exporters Special Foreign Currency Account (ESFCA) regulations.

Taxation & Registration

Cross-referenced with Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Income Tax Ordinance sections and Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) filing schedules.

3. Zero Commercial Conflicts of Interest

Trust is our only currency. To protect editorial independence:

  • No paid course reviews: We do not sell or promote paid coaching programs, “get-rich-quick” academies, or freelance masterclasses.
  • No university placement kickbacks: We do not accept recruitment commissions or referral bounties from foreign universities or private visa consultants.
  • Transparent advertising: When display advertising (such as Google AdSense) is served, ads are clearly distinguished from editorial content. Advertisers have zero influence over article evaluations or recommendations.

4. Continuous Maintenance & Corrections

Exchange rates, visa fees, and embassy appointment procedures evolve. We review our library continuously:

  • Every article displays its publication or last-reviewed date.
  • If an official policy changes (e.g. SBP updates retention percentages or Germany adjusts blocked account figures), the guide is updated promptly.
  • Readers can report errors or outdated regulations directly via our Contact page or in our community Discord.
