Talks between Tahir-ul Qadri, government successful

Islamabad: Talks between Tahir-ul Qadri and Pakistani government’s delegation have been successful on Thursday and both parties have agreed on a three-page accord.

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has signed the accord and it will be read out to the public shortly.

The talks continued for more than three hours in a bullet-proof bunker at D-square in Islamabad, where protesters have been present for around four days.

The talks came after Minhajul Quran chief Qadri gave the government a final deadline for dialogues.

The government delegation includes MQM’s Farooq Sattar, Babar Ghauri, Pakistan Muslim League-Q’s Chaudhry Shujat, Mushahid Hussain, Pakistan People’s Party’s Khursheed Shah, Qamar Zaman Kaira and ANP’s Afrasiab Khattak.
