Mafia Wars: Secret District: The Obelisk Of Sao Paulo Complete Walkthrough & Rewards
In Facebook Mafia Wars a new Secret District named The Obelisk Of Sao Paulo is launched so here is Complete Walkthrough & Rewards details. The Obelisk Of Sao Paulo is the 15th Secret District and is now available. Itís based in Brazil and we have 14 days to get it done. The loot was added to the inventory three days ago so we knew it was on its way. This the 7th Secret District which includes a Boss Fight and this time the Boss is a she and her name is Miss Mausoleum.
To access The Obelisk of Sao Paulo, use the Home Page banner, the Travel Bar or the Brazil Job Page.
There is only one Job Page image and it changes slightly as you master each level.
BronzeLike all of the other Secret Districts, there are a total of 9 jobs and each job has 4 levels of mastery. Below are the job descriptions, requirements and payouts for each level.
The mastery percentages, currency requirements and experience/energy ratios are listed below. There is nothing to get excited about in this Secret District. The best ratio is 2.22 and you can find better than that in London (2.28).
Job Mastery Real Bronze Silver Gold Ruby 1 8% -- 2.00 2.07 2.13 2.13 2 10% 2,250 2.08 2.15 2.22 2.22 3* 8% 2,340 1.81 1.88 1.94 1.93 4 7% 2,100 2.08 2.15 2.22 2.22 5 10% 4,160 1.93 1.99 2.06 2.06 6 8% 2,590 2.06 2.13 2.20 2.20 7 6% 2,080 2.00 2.07 2.13 2.13 8** 11% 6,040 2.06 2.13 2.19 2.19 9 9% 2,300 2.05 2.12 2.19 2.19
*Requires 1 Contract per Job **Requires 2 Contracts per Job
Contracts are the consumable item needed to complete jobs and can also be used as Ammo for the Boss Fight. They are on the Free Gift Page so you can accept up to 250 per day.
You can also farm by doing the first job, ďReceive Upfront PaymentsĒ. The job costs 90 energy on the Bronze Level. If you choose this route, farm enough to get you through the Ruby Level because the same job will cost you 540 energy.
You will need 1 Contract for job #3, Let An Old Man RestĒ.
The 8th job, ďAssassinate The Second TargetĒ, requires 2 Contracts per job.
The drop rate for Contracts isnít bad. Out of 1,435 jobs on the Bronze Level, I gained 1,006 of them.
To determine how many Contracts you will need to fully master the district, divide the percent mastery into 100, round up and multiply by the number of Contracts needed per job. You wonít need nearly this amount if you use your Brazil Strategist and Lockpick bonuses strategically. If you donít want to use your stamina for the Boss Fight you will want many more.
Job Mastery Contracts/Job Contracts/Level Total 3 8% 1 13 52 8 11% 2 20 80 Total 132
There are 4 loot items which randomly drop from all jobs. You will want at least 50 of the first 3 items because you can get skill point bonuses. The bad news for VIP membership subscribers is none of this loot is helpful.
To maximize your loot drops, make sure you have plenty of 2X Loot Boosts and donít forget to utilize your Lockpick Crew Bonus. You can ask your mafia to send you 2X Loot Boosts once every 30 minutes (up to 5), collect up to 30 per day from the news feeds or put them on your wishlist. Any 2X Loot Boosts that you had from previous Secret Districts will carry over and can be used for this one.
There is a drop down tracker on top of the job page which helps you to visualize how many loot items, 2x Loot Boosts and consumables you have. Once you get 10, 25 and 50 of the first three loot items shown above, you get bonus +5 attack points, +5 defense points and +5 skill points as a reward.
Along the way, you will run into Bandits. For review, there are three types of Bandits. The Job Bandit will take off with 80% of the cash and experience from the job that activated him and will prevent you from doing the job again. The Cash and Experience Bandits steal all cash or experience from jobs until you eliminate them or they disappear. They can be eliminated by using one of your Brazil Crew members.
Scroll to the bottom of the Secret District Job Page to find the Boss Fight. Miss Mausoleum works the same way as Carl The Coach and all the other Secret District bosses. You can fight her with stamina or consumables and she is only available to defeat once per level. For more details on how Secret District Boss Fights work and instructions for the Spockholm Secret District Boss Fighter, go here.
Miss Mausoleums health increases with each level and is 2,500, 5,000, 15,000, 25,000 for Bronze, Silver, Gold and Ruby.
You can use consumable items or stamina to attack Secret District Bosses. If you use stamina, the initial cost for each level is 5. The amount goes up by 5 for each attack. If you wait 8 hours, the stamina per attack will reset to 5 and the gradient will work itís way back up.
Consumables do more damage than stamina and itís best to use combos. Zynga tries to temp you to pay to unlock the combos but this is a social game so itís no secret. Once you do 50% damage to the Bronze Level boss the combos unlock for free.
The three combos for Miss Mare shown below.
When you defeat the boss, you will get a Gravediggers Spade. This item has stats of 149/117 on the Bronze Level and improves to 209/147 on the Ruby Level. For each level that you fully master all jobs and take out the boss, you get a Procession Soldier. This item has stats of 90/145 on the Bronze Level and improves to 105/205 on the Ruby Level. You have to defeat the boss before you get it so donít freak out if you finish all the jobs and still donít have this item.
If you master all the jobs first and then defeat the boss, you will get a combo popup that includes both mastery items.
If you take out the boss before mastering the jobs, you will get an individual popup for the Gravediggers Spade reward.
You will then get the reward popup for the Procession Soldier once you complete all the jobs in the district.
